Islay - Kennacraig Ferry
The Cal-Mac or Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry departs Kennacraig taking 2 hours to reach one of TWO destinations on Islay:
- Port Ellen (South Islay)
- Port Askaig (North)

Logan Air- Glasgow International to Glenegedale Airport
Loganair fly twice daily (there and back) to Islay's Glenegedale Airport from Glasgow International Airport. The journey is 40 minutes in length and the views from the windows of the small aeroplanes is everchangingly spectacular. Incredibly, flights begin at 30 pounds GBP.

Local Buses
There is a coach company called the Islay Coaches based in Port Askaig which runs 4 services throughout the islay. The service covers most of the island.
There is also a Post Bus service where you can get a ride on the Post Office bus while the postie is delivering mail to the local residents.

There are a few different taxi services available; some even offer guided tours of Islay. They are highly professional and good value for money. |
